Hand woven linen warp and hand spun wool weft.

This is part of a series of hand spun runners using fleece from the following sheep breeds: Icelandic, Jacob, Bluefaced Leicester, Manx Loaghtan, Corriedale, Herdwick, Masham, Gotland, Cheviot, Suffolk, Norwegian, Swaledale, Finnish, Shetland, and Welsh.

I made this series because I am always drawn to the amazing array of colors and textures found in different sheep breeds.   None of the weft colors have been dyed and all of the yarns were spun by local spinner Carroll Davis Johnson.

The "wiggly edge" is due to different densities in the fibers and spinning and can't be helped.  We refer to it as the "live edge".
